Hi folks, was at the warwickshire folk festival recently and acoustic festival in nantwich last weekend. if you like your harmonies check out the canadian girl band in the link above. think you may like them (listen to sound of one voice) look up another another girl band called waking the witch - another girl band from leeds with harmonies relating to crosby, stills, nash and young. http://www.wakingthewitch.co.uk/ if you like your violin, acordion, guitar and bagpipes then look at a group called battlefield band. all these groups were astounding live.http://www.battlefieldband.co.uk/ something different for you. the paperboys were a good sounding group http://www.paperboys.com/ maybe warwick festival would be an idea for a run and meet weekend next year if anyone interested......its central - weekend camping plus all live bands over 3 days and lots of ales hic! cost £65.00 each this year, stalls for the ladies to shop at and general frivolity. well worth it. even if you go on your own as many folks on their bikes did, its an excellent weekend. http://www.farmerphilsfestival.co.uk/ looks like were off to this one next, up for a mad weekend ![]() |

Similarly, the Be Good Tanyas, also, I think from Canada, are an excellent all girl harmony group. Saw them at Cambridge a couple of years ago.
Won't be able to get to any Folk Festivals this year but I used to go to loads, CFF, Trowbridge, Towersey, Ely, etc. I think a rideout to one would be a great idea! Combine it with ARO7?
