I have just had a K4 hugger turn up at work ( second hand ) and it has no instructions. Now whilst it looks as if its the easiest job in the world, because I have no instructions I want to check I'm not doing it the ball ache way.
I need to remove the metal bracket that retains the brake hose??? I need to remove the current chain guard ( obviously ) ![]() Remove the strange pointless black plastic bit on the frame??????? Do I need to remove the tool box first???? Any other tips I might need or missed???? Cheers Dan |

The "Strange pointless bit of black plastic" should be examined.
If it's the one that runs along the top of the swing arm as it gets to the front it's there so the chain doesn't toutch the metal swingarm. Otherwise if it is (More probably) the bit of flappy rubbery plastic (Stop me if I'm getting too technical) that sits behind the shock then it's a form of very cheap defence for crap flying off the back wheel onto the shock. It can be removed I'd imagine, as the Hugger will do the same job but significantly better ![]()
