Personally, I opted for the loobman instead. Stories of getting air into the fuel injection system of my brand new K6 scared me slightly.

Basically, scottoiler, fill up the reservoir & forget about it (obviously don't forget to top up reservoir when needed). I'd still recommend regularly inspecting the chain however, because the chain still won't last forever.

Loobman, same thing, but doesn't use the fuel system to control drips in an automated fashion. Instead, you have a little bottle (think tiny fairy liquid bottle) which you fit somewhere easy to reach on the bike. Give it a punch (recommended approx every 50miles), and it'll fill a feeder tube with approx 3cc of oil, then slowly, with the aid of gravity, drip this oil onto the rear sprocket. Centrifugal forces acting on the sprocket push the oil upwards & outwards onto your chain. Marvellous. No messing with FI, and £17 inc P&P. Took me all of 20mins to fit it. If you're interested, google will find it for you, and I have some pics of it fitted here.

I decided to fit the reservoir bottle to the dash of the bike, and it gives enough clearance for full right lock without the clutch pressing the bottle for you.

It just taps into the vacuum system, not the fuel lines or anything...

I did quite a bit of reading, and decided I didn't want to risk anything with my fuel after quite a lot of reviews indicating issues. Granted this may be from incorrect fitting etc, but I also didn't want a system that I didn't feel comfortable fitting (and I'm a mechanical muppet), nor did I wat to pay astronomical dealership prices.

As it works out, loobman recommend a punch every 50miles. My daily commute is 49.7miles each way. Nice coincidence.

.... and then deposits the content of the reservoir on your block paved driveway - well, that is what Rictus's did to my drive anyway
