For Sale : Honda VFR400 - any interest???

a very good friend of mine has just recently dropped her vfr 400 from stationary, only very very minor damage which I will be fixing for her but this has left her a bit shaken up and has decided that riding bikes is not for her and is going back to beeing a pillion (i have tried my hardest to persuade her not to give it up but she is stubbern )

so i thought i would ask you guys if there would be any interest

its got two brand new tyres, apart from the minor damage the rest of the bike is in top condition low millage for its age. What is being replaced is the clutch lever and gear lever and i am going to see how much the very minor crack would cost to repair

telefonica movie star colours (blue and bright green) it is a lovely bike and if I had the cash would have it myself

if there is any interest I will get some pics up.

It would be worth posting up, probably in the idle banter section as the 'for sale' section is for SV parts only.

Personally i'd love to buy it but i think the mrs would kick my arseq

Not interested in the bike itself but very interested in any ancillaries that your friend might have - I have a project NC30 on the go and need a few bits n bobs.

Depends on mileage, year, history you've got, exact condition etc. Is the paint job a standard or was it resprayed (sorry don't really know the colours and any specials on these)

You could get anywhere from £1300-£2300 depending on the above.

Bear in mind that a non standard paint job can mean you'll get less depending on your paperwork if it is a non standard paint job then a lot of people will assume it's been down the road.

well i am thinking of aiming for 1500 1600 the bike is a telefonica moviestar colour which is blue with bright green detail and wheels i think this is a standard colour but if i remember right its a rare race rep colour (dont hold me to that as i dont know much about these bikes) i think it has done around 50000 km not sure what that is in miles exactly, condition is really good once i get these new parts on and i think it has only been owned by carefull lady owners (not saying that ladys are slow or dont rag bikes before i get in trouble )

any one think i am asking too much?

Price could be about right if you fix all the problems, it is not a low mileage though. Maybe even a little high, check out MCN and biketrader.co.uk and they should give you a good idea on what to price it at.

Also these sell well on fleabay.
