Default cutting battery box

i am thinking of fitting a zx10r rear shock as i hear they are really good once done.

now the only worry i have is cutting the battery box up i was wondering, before commiting myself to this project has any one got pics of what part of the battery box needs to be cut and how big a piece needs to come off??

thanks

stu

I'm right in the middle of doing this now, I'll post some pics once I'm done

I've had to cut quite bit off mine, I don't think I'd be happy to do it if I had a reasonably nice bike, but mine is my track bike which is a bit of a heap, so I don't mind so much

from memory about 5 cm in length on the left side of the bit attached to the tank (from sit on position) and about the same out of the plastic but also going into it a bit....its not much and not visibly noticeable

if its any consolation im sure these parts can be bought from ebay for a pitance or breakers for that matter if you ever wish to replace them back to standard
