Ok guys
After searching the forum for 'Paddock, stand, how to' - I have some questions. I got a red paddock stand with the bike; very similar to this one: ![]() and it seems pretty much simple to use. ![]() ![]() ![]() The other side is ok, and the swing arm occupies the length of the black holder thingy.. Am i doing it wrong? ![]() I ask because I'm sure I saw a picture of an SV on the forum which had the paddock stand holder thingy further down the swing arm. As always, any advice/help/pointers would be much appreciated |

My brother has a curvy and used the swing arm cups on his and said you have to have them further forward. He has now changed to bobbins thou.
I have bobbins on mine. DD |

Yup, further forwards. I prefer cups, but I kept on knocking the scottoiler piping off with them so I switched to hooks.

Make sure the cups are secure, when I lifted my stand over the bike one of the cups came off and put a dent in the tank

i use bobbins on my pointy, a little tip i learnt on here was to keep your grab rail fitted to help you steady the bike onto the paddock stand.

Bobbins everytime. I have "heard" that the brackets on the stand you have can bend in time - keep an eye on em !

Bobbins!!!!!!!!!! One thing tho, on my stand the "arms" of the hooks were of the round persuation and not the square type, so I got me bike up on the stand and araldited the "arms" in place (on the stand NOT the bike) and now find that putting the left hook on the bobbin and lifting the bike upright ----- bing0 ----- a perfect fit every time
