Penny Garth Cafe - Hawes - North Yorkshire
Rating ***** 5 Stars
a fantastic little cafe in the heart of the North Yorkshire Dales... Hawes is a great little village with great biking roads leading in every direction from it. toward Devils Bridge, Sedbergh,Brough, Buttertubs, Leyburn. on the A684, as mentioned in some bike Mags as part of the Bike 440.. Chip butties bigger than you can imagine and a bacon sandwich to die for, WEBSITE 2x

Top place, my mate owns a holiday property in Hawes. Couple of years back rode up to Hawes from Medway towns and back again in a weekend. Hard work and not done it since!
Don't forget to taste the free cheese at the Wesleydale Creamery. |

+1 for the cafe.
The chip butties are of mammoth proportions and the mugs of tea are always full to the brim. Run by great people too. |

Food hasn't been so good this year, I prefer to eat in Masham now at Bordar House Teas.

Stop off here everytime i head up to hawes. The butty's have gone really greasy recently but they are still good. Fantastic stop off though and everyone who stops off seems to be really friendly. Got talking to a bloke a few weeks back who at a gixer thou and we comented on how ripped up his tyre were. He said he had only had them two weeks and goes through 10 pairs a year.
