Did you get his number/ID - I have a feeling he may have been a fake :P

If he proves to be kosher, ship him down to Frith St, London ASAP please

David

I think he was genuine, I've seen him around town before.

I think he was lurking somewhere as a lot people park in the meter bays without paying (like I did) whilst they just nip into Maplins or Heine Gericke.

Out of curiosity how much does parking actually cost? For the minimum set time...?

If I can ask for a receipt and it's got a VAT no., I claim it back. Dartford? Forget it.

That doesn't help my faith in human nature, understands my whole understanding of the concept in fact!

That was the prime problem Dartford Crossing was initially funded by the UK government with the intention that once the money was repayed it would become a free crossing, BUT it has been repayed and since sold to a French consortium, which equates to a French company operating a service which has no VAT Any other service in this vein charge VAT as the south Wales or Humber Bridge do so can anybody explain why the Dartford Crossing is so different

I am genuinely curios as to why the differential exists as it seems most of the VAT regulations stem from the EU

I have to say that I met the 1 traffic warden who wasn't a ****.

I had just parked in a bay in Soho, and this C90 was parked at the end, just outside of the bay. Whatever had parked at the end had now gone leaving a space. The TW said to me, "give us a hand moving this into the bay, otherwise I'll have to give him a ticket!" So between the two of us, we shuffled it over - no ticket. I was quite surprised! Just a shame about the other 99.9% of Londons traffic wardens....
I guess that makes 2 nice traffic wardens!

Err dunno, didn't even look as I knew I would only be two minutes, I thought the chances of a traffic warden showing up in that time where minimal
