I hope you don't have to buy them new, because that will cost u 550 euro (ECU of curved SV and I expect it to cost more or less the same).

Well....I was down at my local one afternoon and I got speaking to one of my old mates who I used to know for a few years back when we used to tinker around with Field bikes, etc. So anyway the conversation led on to my bike just now and I mentioned to him that my LED indicators was flashing too fast. 'Oh not a problem, 5 minute job' was the reply. OK I thought sounds like hes played with this sort of thing before!
He tells me I need a relay, OK then. Relay ordered. The relay arrives and I drop the bike off at his house and I go and help my dad for the day. 15:24 phone call to my mobile - 'Steve, eh, there's a problem with your bike' S**t! Anyway get to his house, and see that FI or F1 is on the display. F**k! After a 20 minute phone call and a few swear words thrown about I've arranged for it to be looked at my my local Suzuki dealer. I got a chance at borrowing a van for the day so me and another mate dropped the bike off. Then yesterday morning I got a call from the Service dept. turns out that the ECU is fried. So in an act of desperation I turned to the Internet and finally sourced one in London for £125 posted, instead of Mr Suzuki's £500! So as it stands the ECU is (hopefully) in the post and the bike should be back on the road when it gets here. Lesson learned - Leave it to the pro's! |

Did your mate decide to use a MIG welder to put on the 2 little 10 Ohm 40p resistors that would have fixed the original fault

He connected the flasher relay to the starter relay. Turns out that he's fried the ECU.
