Aye thats the stuff.

I found that if I used Optimax or the BP Equivalent of it ( I cant remember what its called ) I didnt suffer from carb icing. If I use cheapo supermarket petrol then my SV suffers really bad from carb icing.

I agree with what fizz said... the shell stuff is the best price then the BP... though I have found the Sainsburys super unleaded is the best of the super market stuff. Don't use Morrisions, there fuel seems crap, though Jet is the worst. As it seems they stick any old crap in there tanks, I had to drain a whole tank full when it screwed up Jax's Duke.
As the moment I am most using Sainsburys Unleaded, but that may change as the weather moves in. Silkolene Pro FST is good but it costs a lot and using 'super' fuels is better in the long run, though you can add the Silkolene as and when needed. So make your choice...

stick normal fuel in it and then use the Pro FST as required. Great stuff! Good tip is to buy some small sample bottles that carry just the right amount for a tank full of fuel and keep them under the seat. Saves you carrying the bottle around and measuring it out everytime!

Randy O reckons that pretty much any isopropyl-based additive would do the same, I think he advocates Rebel Yell I sent him some Pro FST but I can't remember the results...

Me, I used Optimax last year, which almost-but-not-quite got rid of it, and on the occasions it didn't I'd add Pro FST. Works out much cheaper that way. The recommended mix from Silkolene is 1% normally, 2% for bad conditions- that's 160ml-320ml every time you fill up, so a bottle doesn't go far.

I could only get Wynn's dry fuel at local Halfrods. It sez a bottle per tank but that's a car so 1/4 bottle per bike tank I think...
