Default Changing the rear subframe

After taking a few hours to put on a tail tidy I am feeling like a true mechanic now and am debating changing the rear subframe which I bent recently. Just wondered if anyone has done this before and can tell me how easy or hard it is to do for a novice wanna be mechanic :P thanx

if it just a simple swap of a subframe, not too bad. you have to remove aa lot of the wiring components, eg lights, ecu ect. also the rear master cyclinder. if it is the curvey then you haver to remove the tank as the tank pivot is mounted on the subframe. not sure about the pointys. remove exhuast, or just unbolt it, and i think that is about it. just remmbeing how to get all the pieces back together such as which rubber gromets go in which bodywork hole was the main problem i had. other than that its fine. if it is a curvy then i might be selling my subframe, but not sure yet. depends on if i get a decent offer pm me if interested

Thanks for the advice, may take a look at the wiring again this weekend before deciding on what to do. Its a pointy so sounds a little easier to do then a curvy which is good since I am pretty rubbish at this stuff still

personally its quite easy t really is one of those undo it.. re do it liek u un did it... BUT!!!

remember the bolts... and there positions use lids, one drop of a box of bolts and ull be crying...

check if an alarm cable is wired around the subframe or not. you might have to cut it and re solder it later...
other than that... GET Spannering!!!
