Default Bike respray

Can anyone tell me how much would it cost to get the whole of my bike resprayed, no patterns or designs just the same colour all over?

you will be looking around 180 for the tank, 180 for the rear, and about 60-80 for the mudgaurd. thats how much i got quoted from a couple of places in bournemouth. i ended up doining it my self and getting a decent finish, for about 40 quid.

but if you look around you can find some places which do it cheap. when i got my tank resprayed i found a friend of a friend who did it for 90 quid. but it does matter whether you want 2 pack paint or cellulose. 2 pack is a lot better, and better for the tank. cellulose isnt quite as good and takes ages to dry

It cost me £450 to take Blue from this:

To this:

That included the wheels.

It was a professional job but I got a good deal as where I work puts a fair bit of work his way. It is a pearlescent paint and the 'logos' are airbrushed on rather than stickers , so I'd generally expect to pay about £600.

Mmm, I quite fancy an orange SV, with chavy white wheels!

The best thing is to get out the yellow pages, find 3-4 spray shops and ride there and ask them. In my experience, they can vary a lot. Taking the parts off your bike yourself would cut down on the cost.

The 300-500 mark is about right dependent on paint used.

I sprayed mine, with the help of a mate, and that cost me about £140 in materials, and a lot of hard graft.

I'll never spray a whole bike again

THing is, spray shops can vary massively in quality and professionalism... You hear about incredibly slow turnarounds, missed deadlines, bad work, etc all the time. It'd be good to see their work before you commit, or to get personal recommendations.
