Hey Guys
New to the forum, Got a sv650s K5. It steams up from radiator in wet weather, Is this the norm for this to happen? I asked the local dealer and they assured me it happens with the bikes. Anyway around stopping this without harming the bike/radiator? Thanks Gary |

yeah pretty sure it is normal
I have a K6 and mine does it (only 300miles on her though) presumably it is just the cold water on the hot radiator mate |

They all do that sir
![]() ![]() ![]() I think it is more a case of the water gathering on the rad fins and then running onto the hot front cylinder downpipe.

It's just rainwater hitting hot surfaces and evaporating. Nothing to worry about and nothing you can do about it.

The smell that it gives off always reminds me of my old gpz500, that used to overheat on sunny days and long traffic jams. Good ol' nostalgia eh?

Remember that your bike's powered by a box full of explosions

i remember getting concerned about this, and even though people said it was normal i thought there was waaaay too much steam coming off. turns out it is normal! get a fender extender, it'll reduce it.
enjoy! |

I've been told about a fender extender, do Suzuki make one?
Or where can I get one? how does it fit? |
