Default The REAL Selkent xmas bash thread!

Ok, i have undertaken the traumatic task of organising this years xmas bash.

As mentioned in the other xmas bash thread, i know of a pretty damn good chinese in Biggin Hill on the main road called The Phoenix On The Hill. It's about £15 a head but it's all you can eat. It's not buffet, you order off the menu and there are over 40 starters, duck and/or crispy lamb for second course and tons of main dishes and you can order as much of any of it as you like!!!! The chicken sataty sticks are particularly good (as in..they're actually chicken!)...*drool*.

I have tried to get Wednesday 20th but i'm afraid they cannot give us a big enough table and with Mark in mind i want it to be a pleasurable experience for everyone. I've provisionally booked a table for Tuesday 19th at 8pm. They can increase the numbers but i have to let them know asap.
Please let me know if you would like to come along (and any partners please!!!).

Well dependent on Ben being able to collect me, I'm in.

Cheers Mark.

I know about booking in advance - but ordering in advance..........

Mind you I guess we could ask them to have a portion of Chicken Satay for each person on the table for us arriving - zero delay kind of thing

They're really friendly and the service has always been excellent. Extra pancakes, duck, chicken satay sticks, anything, not a problem for them.

They've never kicked us out before either. We've always been able to finish our food and drink in our own leisure and they've still smiled and asked if we'd like anything else.

Needless to say, the desert menu is not vast as i've never actually been able to manage it! They'll even bring out a part still frozen gateaux if it's your birthday!!!! I was tempted to say it was mine as it's only a few days after, so that we all got free desert, but like i said, good luck to anyone who can actually eat it! (Partly because you'll be too stuffed and partly because it's never quite 100% defrosted...hope you've all got private dental care? Bless!)

Soooooo...As mentioned in another thread....secret santa anyone?

Cheers Matt, I've spoken to Ben and he doesn't have a problem with Tuesday, so all sorted

Cheers Mark.
