Default Radiator Dent

Just bought a late 2002 and everything seemed great. It had been raining so I went to dry the bike off (don't normally but I had just bought it!). Noticed that there was a slight dent in the bottom of the radiator. It looks the same shape as the tyre! Can the forks bottom out and let the tire hit the radiator?

Not normally but if the forks had been raised thru the yokes, to try and lower the bike for a shorty then it's quite possible.
I dented rad isn't too serious as long as it doesn't leak and the cooling fan is free to spin.

Thank you for that. I bought the bike from Hilltop Motorcycles, Earl Shilton. It seems a suspicious that the daughter of the owner, who is short in the leg, would have liked the bike! Not that a bike shop owner would try to off load a bike his daughter had damaged.

Default Price

Any one know where you can buy a radiator and how much it would cost.

One on ebay at the mo, about £130... Dunno about new but I reckon about £200-£300. Always check before buying on ebay.

If it's dented but otherwise in working order, I wouldn't worry about it. Mine is hugely twisted but has been fine for the past two years. It's a lot of money to pay out for something that really doesn't need replacing.
