Default Hello from Norway. New kid on the block...

Hello.

Thought I'd just say hello and introduce myself.

I am a 23 year old, or young, take your pick, man from Norway. The lovely, but oh sooo cold country just to the northeast of the UK. I bought my first bike last October, a 2000 Suzuki SV 650 S. With just 16k km on the odometer (?) It's my first bike ever and I love it. I've had my license since I was 18, but I've always thought that if I got I bike I would kill myself within a week. Not so anymore, I hope the horns on my forehead have gotten smaller by the years. I've ridden a few bikes before but none that hvae been so easy to ride than the SV. And the sound of it's v-twin is just great. I really really think that I couldn't have picked a better bike to begin my riding-career.

At the moment there is snow outside my window so there is not much to do except to wait for spring to arrive, and it can't come soon enough.

Well, that's my first post ever on a foreign forum, I hope my english isn't too bad. I look forward to getting more acquainted with the forum and it's members, hopefully.

And for last a picture of my bike....

With regards

Give lessons? Not if had a gun to my head....

But thanks, I will try to keep it up, even though it takes some time to write the replies, but hey, it's not like I have anything better to do with my time

And of course the blue is THE colour!

I hope to get some minor mods on it before summer. There's a lot I want to do with it, like double bubble windscreen in iridium thingy, a hugger, under-tray, mini-blinkers and a belly-pan. The sad thing is that those things cost money. But we'll see what we end up with. There is a Quill can on it witch is ok, the coloured titanium one. Last owner bought it, I would have preferred a carbon look but I'm not complaining.

Hi there,

The Norwegians are slowly invading... another one joined us a few months back, lol.

It's lovely country, I like to think of it as my home, although I don't live there. My mum is from Trondheim and I am registered as a Norwegian citizen, I think it is a really beautiful place and would love to move there after completing my degree.

I'm looking to stay over in Norway, and to get a summer job this year in between my studies, partly to learn the language, and partly to see the country along with visiting my family...

Is there any bike routes/places that you can recommend I look up? or any information I need to know before taking my bike across?

Thanks, Marius.

EDIT: Apparently my Norwegian translation was a bit wrong. I'l just leave it in English.

Hello & welcome to 'The Org'

As has already been said there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with your English at all

I have to confess to being a wee bit worried though - if this is, as On Yer Bike claims the start of a 'Norwegian Invasion' (& let's face it there is a historical precedent for this) - does this mean that you're gonna change our judicial system (again) & change our royal family (again) ?

Upon reflection, what is there actually to be worried about ?
