Hi Folks,
Sitting my test in the next couple of weeks and i'm looking at a new sv650s as my first bike. Been looking round for insurance and i'm get quotes between 1000 and 3000quid! I think this is a bit high but what do you guys reckon? I'm 24 years old with 0 no claims. Bike will be stored in garden hut with ground anchor and motion sensor alarm!! ANy info would be helpful Cheers Marty |

have you tried http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk/ ? My first year was 25 yrs old living in central-ish London, 0 no claims, bike parked on a driveway - about 650 fully comp!

Yeah dude, you should get it much cheaper than that! I'm 27, passed my test in November, bought a 2000 model SV650, 0 years NCD, and mine is £420 fully comp with Devitt. Good luck!

We reckon it's because you've asked for quotes whilst not having got a full licence. This seems to play havoc with the computer systems. Betting as soon as you've got your pass certificate the figures will tumble........................ Unless you DO live in Iraq.

Pot luck as to who is cheapest for you.
I find Bennetts are half the price of ebike for me. Plus when I rang Bennetts they quoted me cover for half the price of the online quote I had just done. So maybe try that, I thought I was screwed with my current bike as both Bennetts and ebike quoted £1500 online but as I said I didn't write down my quote code with Bennetts so when I rang them they entered all the details again and it came back as £700.... |
