Default Ground anchoring

Just got myself an SV, picked up today! In the freezing rain

It's a red 2000 reg curvy with a few bits added. I've got it locked to a ground anchor round the back - anyone got any tips for locking it whilst keeping the chain off the ground - I can't see any obvious points on the frame to run it through?

Cheers,
Dave

ive never been one to put the chain through the frame, as there is no where for it to go.

Keep the chain tight, that should do it. Consider using a wall anchor to the right of the bike and use chain to the back of the front wheel when on steering lock, then there's no room to get anything that requires leverage in. It's also a god idea to fit a disc lock as well.

Oh and conreats on the bike.

I run my one chain through the anchor and up to the left side of the frame and the cylinder. My other chain is through the back wheel and through the anchor. It's a tight squeeze but it means that there's no space to put a pole through and lever the anchor.
Both chains are taught, one pulls the bike back the other pulls it forward, and off the floor. Each wheel also has a disc lock.

You can get a chain to go between the frame and the engine on the left side (seated position) with a little twisting action, I found it easier to attack it from above and grab the free end of the chain. Dont forget the engine will still be hot

Crikey, you really dont want your bike to get knicked. I have a gate, thats all.

I can't do that, my bike still has the front wheel.

My neighbour had a '05 Fireblade with a single chain to a ground anchor. Nobody heard them take it.
