Default SV1000 clutch

Hi folks

Am I right in thinking that the SV1000 has a hydraulic clutch? If it has can someone have a look to see what size bore it has. I'll be especially happy if it has a 5/8" bore because one will fit on my FZX750 and let me put an adjustable lever on it

Cheers

Amanda

It does have a Hydraulic clutch. Not sure on the bore but I'd have thought it'd be the same as different brake M/C configurations, i.e. different feel but should still work. I'm more that happy to be corrected on this one though. Don't suppose there's an adjustable Brake lever that'll go on the FZX M/C?

I'm afraid there's no adjustable levers for the FZX - it's an old bike you see, which is why I'm asking about SVs and the like. All I know is no other (modern) Yams have that size M/C and so I can't fit one with an adjustable lever to it. We tried one with a smaller bore to see if it would be lighter but the clutch wouldn't engage. Doh!

Ah right, Do you know the stroke as well as the bore? As presumably you're after the same displacement of fluid. so a Bigger bore & shorter stroke would be ok (If possibly a bit stiffer)

I've no idea about the stroke of it, but ideally I don't want it to be stiffer because at the moment it's heavy but OK. I need the adjustable lever from something more modern because I'm ending up with tendonitis because of the stretch to the lever (I've got really small hands!).

Cheers
