Red face Anti squeal plates

Hi all,

I managed to bend them up whilst stripping and cleaning my brakes. I've sort of fixed it using pliers for now, but would prefer a new set.

So, does anyone have the part code for front caliper anti squeal plates (shims?) on a 2000 unfaired curvy sv650?

Also is there anywhere other than Suzuki that I can buy them from?

Cheers!

Hi Ripped,

I think they are silly money.

At the only ever service done by a dealer (I do them all myself - dont trust anyone near my bikes anymore) the mech managed to loose my rear shims, I never noticed until I did the brakes myself a few thou miles later. I never replaces the shims (anti squeal plates) and have never missed them - 24 thou miles ago now.....

Part nos: 59371-20C00, 59381-20C00

£6.54 each.

Not sure I'd worry about it as Andy said. Just keep em copperslipped. Backs only, obviously.
