Default Argos Bike Cover

I have one of the £15 Argos bike covers (as well as a bulky Oxford Stormex which never gets used!), which I regularly take with me when staying away overnight and having to park my bike in a carpark/on the road.

Even though (as bike covers go) it's very thin and small, I recently realised I could crush it down really small- to about 1/3 of its normal size. I was wondering if anyone has used a small compression sack on it (perhaps to store it under the pillion seat) and if so, which size/make sack have you found works well as I'm looking to get one.

TIA,

Ceri

Come on folks, someone must have done this? If not, I'd best get myself off to the camping shop at the weekend and ask ever so politely if they'll let me try to fit my stinking, oil and grease covered bike cover in several of the sacks, before choosing which one to buy.

Ceri, I had one years ago made from the same material as most small tents. I did not need a compression bag to get it to pencil case size. It's just a matter of folding in a zig-zag way instead of half and half again.

I considered this, but the problem is that you need a vaccum at the other end to put it back in the bag.

Mogs, I've tried folding it and whilst I can get it small, it doesn't stay small (as I have no sack to keep it that size, it soon expands to fill the standard sack).

Find an old inner tube and cut cross-sections to get strong elastic bands?
