Hi there. Has anyone got or know where to get the fitting instructions for the accumen/suzuki cat 1 sv alarm?
![]() Just bought one on eBay and apparently it doesn't come with fitting instructions. Managed to fit a cat 1 alarm to my car a few years ago so I'm not to bothered about complexity (plus I have an auto electrician friend if I get stuck) but I wouldn't and don't know where to start. ![]() I've heard for the most part they just plug in but i'm not too clued up. Can anyone give ANY help or advice??????????? |

If you go to the acumen Web sight they do a wireing diagram (I have seen it on there before). You might have to search by part number....

I know they're meant to be fitted by a professional but i'm not clueless. I've worked in a mechanics before, worked with auto electricians before and I've fitted very sophisticated alarms before, plus as stated in the original post I do have an auto electrician friend who I can get to help (though he works on cars!).
Things like this can prove to be very difficult without wiring diagrams and instructions though!!!! If the worst comes to the worst then I will see if my local suzuki dealer will fit it but I doubt they'll want anything to do with a suzuki part not sold by them! ![]() I've heard rumours that the majority of the alarm just plugs in and doesn't need to be soldered into the wiring, can anyone confirm this? Chears for the info on the Acumen web site, did look on there yesterday but I guess I was looking in the wrong place!!!! Will hunt it down now! Cheers ![]() |

Wiring diagram on the website is for the self fit alarm not the cat 1.
I contacted them and they have replied but being an absolute muppet I forgot to tell them it was for an SV650!!!! They should get back to me after the weekend with the correct wiring diagram for my bike. Will let ya know the outcome and cheers for the advice. |

If you do, could you post a copy online, I also bid on the alarm and have seen many of these on ebay, but only put stupid bids as I would have to get it installed my my mechanic and I'm a student so dont like spending over a fiver getting him to do it.

Yep. That will also make it much easier for me to work out how to remove the Acumen alarms from the shiny GSXRs outside my local dealer.
