Default SV1000 can on a 650?

Afternoon all.

I have found a carbon can from a SV1000 and just wondered if it would fit on my 650? The other side of the bike was damaged so the guy has one for sale.

Thanks for any help

Don't think so, not a direct fit. SV1000 cans bolt on to the pipes. SV650 can is welded to the pipes.

To fit a can to the 650, you have to cut the exhaust pipe, then fit the can to the cut pipe (sometimes using a link pipe) with a clamping fitting supplied with the can.

If you really wanted the SV1000 can to fit, you could get a link pipe made up with the bolt up fitting flange. Cut the pipes on the 650, fit the link pipe and then bolt on the SV1000 can. Seems a lot of effort IMO.

Unless the SV1000 can was free, I wouldn't bother - there are plenty of 650 cans around, and the 1000 can will look **** with the flange on a 650
