Unhappy Lost Bar End Weight

Just realised as I put the SV to bed for the night that she was missin' a bar end weight from the throttle side

Its odd because when I think back to the ride home from Brizzle this afternoon I thought I felt something hit my foot. Added to that at the time I couldn't make sense of it because there weren't any other vehicles near me so it could only have been something from me. The bike still felt fine, running well, no new vibrations and nothing I could see missing so I just past it off that the front wheel must have flicked up a stone or such like.

How stupid do I feel now that I could have riden best part of 30 odd miles and not noticed the bar end weight missing?

Any suugestions on a replacement from you fine people on here? Do I go along to V&J Superbikes tomorrow and get ripped off for a genuine Suzuki part that they probably won't have in stock cos the never have anything I ever want in stock! Or do I go on flea bay and get a pair of pattern parts? I'm not fussed about fancy ones so long as they are the right weight and the right size. Anyone know how much a genuine replacement is off the top of their heads?

Or have a look on ebay...

I use V & J quite a lot, if they havent got what I want in stock they normally get it pretty quickly oh and I sometimes get discount in there to

I dont always get it, Depends who's behind the counter, I normally find it Jake serves me then I get a bit knocked off the price of the parts.

However bear in mind, that they've done all the servicing on my SV, I bought a brand new GSXR from them last march and they service that to, and my other half bought her Duke from them just before Christmas, Most of my summer kit, Leathers etc came from them as well. My other half bought some leathers and gloves from them to.

so its not like they havent had their monies worth out of me.

Doh !!!

Peronsonally I've got no time for Bransons. IMHO their idea of customer service leaves a lot to be desired, but my dad who bought his hornet from them has never had a problem.

V & J have always looked after me can't fault em at all.

I guess its horses for courses really. I have never had any probs with Bransons either but V & J have always been pretty unhelpful in my short experience with them.

At the end of the day i don't trust either of them to service my bike though! I'll do it myself then I know what has and hasn't been done. I am an engineer after all, oh that was another thread I didn't get invloved in that!

Well, if it didn't ride differently, you wouldn't, would you? I wouldn't if one of mine dropped off, they're only there to make the ends of the handlebars look pretty. If I was you, I'd take off the other and see how that suits, and then fit the cheapo aftermarkets of your choice if you get no vibes.
