Default 11.5K Service

Hi
I have a 2001 Curvy, all runs smoothly at the mo
Can anyone tell me what i should expect from my 11.5K service, whats to be done, how much are people paying for it etc?
Bit wary of being ripped off by the guys in South West London !

Cheers

H

Default Re: 11.5K Service

I paid £175 for my 11k service.

For that (from what I remember), I got the following:
Oil/Air filter (didn't need an air filter, but was checked)
Oil dropped & replaced.
Brakes stripped, cleaned & put back together & bled (obviously).
Chain & sprockets fitted (I'd bought them seperately, for £104 ish)
Linkage stripped, cleaned & greased.
Forks out & oil changed.
Throttle body sync & timing.
TPS adjustment.
Clutch adjustment.

There was probably more to it as well, and it didn't need all that, but that's what it got done.

Services from now on are to be mostly done by me So that should save a few ££s

The 11.5K service should inclide:

Change engine, transmission oil and oil filter.
check and adjust idle speed
check throtle/choke cable operation and free play
check clutch operation
check the cooling system
check drive chain for wear and stretch
check brake pads for wear
check the operation of the breaking system
check the tyre and wheele condition and tread depth
check the tightness of all nuts and bolts
check and lubricate the sidestand, lever pivots and cables

basically a lot of checks and adjustments you can do yourself!! If you are competent enough to do the required replacements yourself then you can save a fortune.
