Default Insurance ammendment

When I took out my policy last year one of the questions was "How many miles will you ride in the following year?". How the fluffin ekk should I know.

So I guessed at 3000 via some quick sums in my head.

With another 3 months on the policy to go, I'm already over the 3k limit I set myself, so thought I'd do the right thing and tell mr insurer etc etc.

I'm now £25 lighter for admin charges, but no increase to the policy due to there not being much time left on it.

*Sulk* Guess its not bad in the long run. For those interested - company is Motorcycle Direct.

i looked into this last year with my insurer, and it it could only make a diff to your policy price if your went more than 25% over what youd told them, but seeing as they never asked for the intiial milleage i dont know how theyd have known, i checked with my insurer and it made no diff wether i said 2500 or 8000 so i said 8000, and did 15.........

Yeah, they asked current mileage when I took it out.

They only offered me two other choices though just now;5000 - which I'm already nearing or unlimited - guess that'll do then .

I'm just using the bike way more than I thought I would, which can only be a good thing. hehe.

Also, I had to presude them to accept my Bikesafe garage as a garage as it aint brick built blah blah. 10 mins later and it is now accepted as a garage *grin*.
