Default Next project...any suggestions????

almost partially finished my sv project. will allways be a continuing thing. no for my next bike, i kinda wanted a tl, or some other large v twin. so instead of just buying one i was thinking of building it from the engine up. i have plenty of time on my hands as it wont be until a year or two when i want to actually ride it. i have the sv to ride around on so thats no real problem. but now, i ahve came up with another idea. allways wanted a supermoto, so i was thinking of getting a nice large single, an xr450 or 600...the norm. but making it more street like. rear seat unit off of a cbr or gsxr etc. think it could look kinda cool. usd forks, possible custom tank. a real mutant of a bike. any suggestions???

pictures welcome and if there are any photo shop marvells out there who are bored, hook us up a supermoto with a superbike rear seat unit on, i want to know what it would look like.

cheers

Buy a TL 1000 lump, once you've got that in good condition, save over a couple of years and buy an aftermarket frame kit for it. Fit the engine and get it running then make fibreglass bodwork for it in your own garage? Wait, that's the project I'm hoping to do.

And by the time that's done, we'll all be on hoverbikes.

ive been looking at large 1m litre lumps. very tempted by the vtr engines. sound very nice. but i was thinking of getting a trellis frame made. possibly do it myself. or just get teh origional frame and customise it with other parts. problem is the shock linkage with the tl. very tempted either way. there was a tl1000 lump on fleabay a little while ago, had a couple of problems with it but as its a project thats no problem. work on other parts while the engine is being re build.

LC8? Or Aprilia/Rotax mill, both very compact and handsome motors. Not cheap, usually, though.

What about a stink wheel, LC350YPVS motor in aDT125 frame with super motard running gear - now that would shift, just remeber to alter the gearing or flip city.
