Hagon fork springs question - SV650.org

Hi , have searched for fork spring threads ( there are lots ) , decided on buying Hagon fork springs .

Emailed Hagon re what oil is recommened , explained that I weigh 15 stone , received response :-
"Our kit does not require extra or modification to spacers and uses 10w, which best adjusts the damping to suit the new spring rates."

From reading other threads I would have thought that using 15 W would be better for my frame , or would you go with the experts ?

I fitted hagon springs & 10 W to my fazer 600 , and it was big improvement over std , however thought at the time 15 W might have been better , then again its hard to say .

What do you recon Hagon spring users ?

Not all 10W oils are the same... 21Quest's got a phenomenal table of different consistencies which makes good reading. I used Silkolene 15W and, at 11 stone, it was a bit too stiff but not disasterously, well, except in deep winter when it was like having steel beams for forks
