Dentist appointment tomoz

At 9.30. Eeeek. I don't mind Peter the dentist as he always has interesting mountaineering tales to tell, and I lie there listening and saying 'Ug. Huhh. Gaaaa' and so on but this is with the nazi hygienist who will condemn me for not flossing every day and not using the interdontal brushes. I don't have the time and I can't be arsed anyway and my teeth haven't fallen out so far. But this strident woman somehow makes me want to throw a sickie.

I bet they make you pay heavily for the hygenist too.They grind away at you with a sand blaster which I reckon is bad for teeth,and tell you a load of stuff you already know which you are clearly going to ignore anyway.Wast of time and money mate.

I made the mistake of going to the dentist recently (well, a chunk of my tooth fell out) and they said I needed to go to the hygenist. No way am I going back! I don't appreciate having bleeding gums for days afterwards!

Now 9.30 and am sat here posting. Biggles and Kate, I took your advice

I don't mind going to the dentist.
The dental nurse is really cute and she likes my leathers (they do squeak a bit in the chair though)

Haven't been to a dentist in oooh lets say 9 years, my teeth are fine, the don't hurt they're straight so I say sod it. I don't have a big love of the fizzy drinks and sweets so I assume that's my saving grace

Ask them about hydroxyapatite...that should stall them!

I finally established with my dentist that his job is to fix my teeth when they drop out, not to tell me to floss or use the daft wee bog brushes or cut down on my diet coke... Key to a good relationship with your dentist, that. Me wreck, you fix.

i hate the dentist but do go every 12 months.
