Years ago my mate and I were in his Capri (yes, that long ago...) when PC Plod decided to have a chat with us. We were both asked to get out of the car, and while they're asking us the usual questions there the sound of breaking glass.
The two cars have come together and the headlamp on the Panda (Escort) has been broken by the rear of the Capri. "I think we'd better check your handbrake, sonny" says one. I then point out that we're facing down hill, and they're behind us PC Plonker hasn't put his handbrake on.... We took the drivers details, and my mate asked "You are insured, aren't you ?"  I think it was time to go at that point.... . |
