Unhappy high revs f1 error c29.

Hi this is my first post and first day on the sv forum and i have a problem! the bike has the f1 light on and flashes on the temp, as soon as you start the bike it revs at 5-6000 rpm I hjave found that if you turn the throttle hard forward the revs do drop but you have to hold it their. I have had it pluged in and had an c29 error code but the dealer can't look at it for 4 weeks!!!! i use it every day. hope someone out there can help me!!!!

c29 - secondary throttle position sensor malfunction.

The workshop manuals which are linked on the home page of this site will give you more information, however it may well be something you're not going to be able to fix yourself.

scorpion, DIY. Stick a bit of wire in the Dealer Service Connector, turn ignition on, the bike will tell you the error code, then use the link provided by TSM.

If the "secondary fuel sensor" means the fuel cut off, that's 33960-06G10 & is located under the main rider seat. On my K6 it's behind the ECU & slightly to the right as you look at it.

If you have to buy one, should be around £25. Simple plug it in to fit it, no tools required (once the seat is off).

That's the only thing I can think of as a seconday fuel sensor on the pointy. Strange that the fuel cut would cause high revs, but still.
