Hi,
has any managed to raise the headlight beams on a Curvey sv650 S. Full beams seam fine, but dipped they only light up a few meters. They are ok, but I would like them much better as my nightly commute home from work takes me through Thetford forest and Munjack deer have a habbit of wandering over the road. Cheers. |

First thing is to put half decent lamps (bulbs) in.
Something like Osram Silverstars, Phillips Vision Plus, or how about the Phillips X-Treme Power (supposed to be a step above while still perfectly legal and OK for the SVS). I've used http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ , an excellent supplier, but you might well find cheaper. |

See the holes either side of the dials? Stick a long screwdriver in there and twist
![]() Got mine done as part of the MoT when I had it done at the end of last month, only had my curvy a few months, so didn't realise that it was wrong, or how to fix it until I saw them doing it ![]() |

So that's what those holes are, I'd been wondering about them
![]() Haynes manual said nothing about adjustment. Nice one. |

Yep there's not enough difference in dip between low and high beam. Be careful you don't pull it up too far.
I also replaced the bulbs in my curvy, 45w was just too low. Better bulbs make a big difference.

Oh Yes. I haven't changed the bulbs on my pointy though, I guess they're standard but some much better than the curvy.
