Default Blueing front cyclinder exhaust - normal or cause for concern?

Hi folks, just been fitting a bellypan (sorry mr suzuki, meant 'bug spoiler' ) and noticed quite a lot of blueing of the front pipe - do most SVs have this, or could it mean i'm running dangerously lean and running too hot? I have a PC3 fitted, but not got round to remapping it yet, and a blue flame slip on with one baffle out.
There is a bit of popping on the overrun which makes me suspect it could be a little lean, but basically need to know if a remap is urgent or not.

Happens a lot with Titanium systems but never seen it on a steel downpipe.

Looks cool though, eh?

My blue flame does that. I quite like it. You might find that you've got a little air leaking back into the exhaust thats causing the popping.

I suspect there is a bit of an air leak in there - I like the sound but if most SVs with a can don't blue the downpipes like this, I'd be worried about lean running..

And I agree it looks cool

ive seen the blue on front pipes many times before on diff bikes, my bandit 600 always used to turn the pipes blue and my mates triumph thruxton does it too.

Yours is a curvy, the same doesn't apply as the FI bikes are fitted with emmissions reducing air injection valves that allow air from the airbox into the exhaust ports allowing combustion of any unburnt fuel to occur in the pipe, it can just be heard with standard cans, but is of course more noticable with open exhausts, and is most often heard as popping on the over-run.
