Mint... Maybe we'll see them training down in Drinkies park...

I have a couple of mates that take their crossers and quads down there and there is always some thieving piece of crap knocking around trying to steal them...

As others have said, they're faster than most things through town and also handy for chasing scrotes illegally riding dirt bikes on fields/in parks, particularly if a helicopter isn't available.

London police were looking at using them a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if they ever did or not, but I've never seen a policeman "patroling" on one. Doesn't quite have the "all day in the saddle" comfort of a pan, does it?

Ooh I like that! I wish I was tall enough to ride one, I'm only 5'9". Maybe I'll see if I can get away with it one day, but I just see it ending in tears...

The cops in Caracus, Venezeula (as oposed to Caracus, Wisconsin) use these. Two up, rider and tail gunner. I poo you not! Heavy traffic, pavements, parks, pedestrian areas - brilliant!

I was watching some traffic cop program the other day which featured manchester. One thing the guys in the cars said was a big problem was bike theft, because bikes can fit through gaps that the cars cant.

Good to see a police force taking active measures about issues, rather than just sticking up cameras.
