I just picked up a red 2006 SV650S, woo-hoo!

I noticed my tank was getting scratched up from my jacket, so I started looking for something to protects the tank.

What other accessories should I be looking at for my new bike?

What bar risers are available?
Any cheap kits for a lower fairing?
Chassis protectors or sliders available?

Website recommendations for online retailers would be appreciated as well!

Thanks everyone.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Tank protectors are widely available on the net, google it.

Keep an eye on eBay for lower fairings. Genuine suzuki lowers are the best IMHO, there are others available that are cheeper but they need painting and this can cost a fair bit.

I got R&G crash bungs, not the cheepest but the best in my opinion, others on here swear by other brands and I'm sure they'll be along to tell you soon. Just make sure you get the ones that don't require ctting of the lower fairing.

Thanks for the reply.

What about side panniers, any good sets for the sv650s that won't interfere with stock exhaust?

Absolutely no idea. Got a tank bag that's holds enough for my needs.

Those oxford sports look quite popular with the SV crowd, thank you.

What brand of handle bar risers are the best ones?

Seconded, Kelti are good and come with a handy wipe to clean the tank before you apply the pad. Mine also came with a keyring! Can't go wrong IMO.

Get a genuine suzuki belly pan. Expansive but much better than lowers IMHO.

That motor needs showing off, not hidden like on some wannabe sportsbike!
