any difference in blue oir green coolant....doing clutch other day and after i found out i but blue coolant in instead of green that came out...
now my bike runs really hot 110c after 20 miles surely this aint right |

Not necessarily any difference between colours, it tends to be at the manufacturers whim as to what colour they add. Pink/red sometimes tends to be the "long-life" versions, but even that isn't reliable.
FWIW I use Toyota pre-mixed "red" coolant in everything, simply because it's the spec for my car and it's a good quality coolant suitable for the materials in most powertrains (iron/alum/plastics etc). They told me that they used the "red" in Japan built cars and "green" in Euro built cars, quite what the differences are I don't know, take your pick. I know it works well The life of coolant is mainly down to corrosion inhibitors, top quality stuff is rated at 5yrs typically, though that's probably a minimum in a well maintained engine. Practically all decent stuff has ethylene glycol as the basic ingredient, ending up mixed 50/50 with water (whether premixed or add it yourself), then there's the additive pack included to combat corrosion. The 50/50 mix gives the best combination of high boiling point and low freezing point. VW/Audi do a very good coolant (G12+), luminous pink colour. If you're overheating while riding (i.e. moving and not relying on the fan), check the level, check the rad for blockages (air-side and coolant-side), check the rad cap and hoses, thermostat, possible pump impeller damage etc. You can check the fan by shorting the wires on the fan switch in the rad side tank (ignition on). It's possible for the temperature sender and/or wiring to be faulty. |
