Default WTF is the "fuel tank prop stay"

Where do I find the "Fuel tank prop stay"?

I've removed the rear seat, removed the front seat, loosened the tank mounting bolts, lifted the tank and I'm expecting to see this stay but I'm not seeing anything. Can someone please enlighten me.

Disclaimer: Ok so this info might be in the FAQ or one of the guides, I'm going there right now to look. But the bike is dismantled in someone elses driveway and I'm looking to get the answer asap. Which means asking question first, then looking for answer myself.

TIA

/2mths (servicing his SV for the very first time!)

its under the pillion seat, stashed away @ the side (on a curvey) although if you got the bike 2nd hand it might be missing?

Mine's under the rear seat at the RHS clipped into some.. er... clips. You have to unclip it to remove it to use it to prop the tank up.

I've checked under the seats but I'll go check again.

BTW it's a pointy.

Tx

EDIT: BTW it's had a tail tidy put on before I got it. Does this mean that the undertray will have be non original? Could this be were the clips would be, ie where the stay would be... and therefore the reason it's not visible might be because it's not there?

Yes. When I changed my tail the clips were not on the new one so I now store the tank prop in the garage

Mine's thrown behind some sh!t in the garage because it wouldn't clip back into place once I'd taken it out. I use a block of wood now.
