Ok, so I'm booked on a track day at the end of the month, and just noticed that in the small print it says I have to have a 1 piece suit or 2 piece that "zips together 360 degrees round the waist and back".
The leathers I have only zip round the sides and back, so I'm assuming that's no good. Does this mean I need to buy another set of leathers just to do track days in? Anyone can clarify, I'll be really happy. I don't want to cancel the track day, but I can't afford any more kit at the mo! |

My leathers zip round the back, sides and a bit of the front. 5 inch gap between the zip ends. Never seen a 2 piece with a full 360 end to end zip.
I think they mean the ones that only zip round the back but I've never been on a track day. |

Indeed they are talking about the 10 inch joining zip, that's not allowed, so if yours is around the sides then it should be fine.
Cheers Mark.

i dont know about other tracks but whenever I have done a track day at knockhill they have never examined the zip on the leathers. I presume as long as they dont see flesh when you are on the bike they probably wont. make sure you wear a black (or similar colour to leathers) t shirt underneath. they only thing they paid attention to was the bike and my gloves

Thanks all. Guess i'll just turn up and hope for the best... My leathers don't have space for knee sliders either so I'm gonna have to avoid knee down antics!

Yep,
my leathers have a 4 inch gap at the front as well...I think most 2-piece suits are like that. |
