That actually got me emotional. It's such a waste of a young life. I know he was doing what he loved but it's a harsh way to learn.

This was updated on the BBC last night. What a terrible tragedy.

hold on these two stories dont match up. One is an oncoming crash not in the race and the other is a race incident with spectators.

Still very sad and such a waste but there must have been two seperate incidents

Yes two they were two seperate incidents, the young lad was killed on open roads, and yesterday (Friday) in the finally day of racing a racer died and two spectators died after a incident on the mountain section, two more were in injured in the crash, more information from the sites below.

Just got back from there.

It's worrying how much yellow paint is marked up on the road - and this particular one was on the way to our camp site, not nice. RIP

As much as this saddens me, I dunno, I just feel a bit like anyone that goes there takes there life in their own hands. I guess I find it frustrating that every year without fail we all know people will die there. It just makes me wonder sometimes why they still do it.

Sincerely,

Sad and confused.

People will ride hard in the Isle of Man and I'd imagine that most riders accept that the worst can (and sadly does) happen. However it's still a tragedy when things like this happen. (I'm not having a dig at you Kwak but I guess it reads that way).
