Default Curvy not starting - suggestions needed pls

Carbed SV650

Some theiving gits ripped all the wiring out, tried (and failed) to hotwire it.

I've reconnected all the wiring and replaced blown fuses. To replace the wiring I needed to take the top yoke off, so I fitted an R6 throttle tube at the same time. Could this be anything to do with it?

It will turn over but not start.

Any ideas?

How do I go about checking if there is a spark?

Cheers

Al

OK First things first, as you rightly point out, are you getting a spark?

To test this you need the HT (Spark plug) lead attached to a spark plug and the thread of the plug grounded against a metal earthed part of the bike (Note much of the bike is painted / lacquered and not any good for this. Bolts can be a good bet). Remove each plug in turn. Use the starter button to turn the engine over while the spark plug is visibly earthed, you should see a blue spark between electrodes.
You can also use a spare plug instead of removing each one in turn, but it's not a major pain to get the plugs out of an SV.

Be careful, spark plugs run at a high voltage, and having personally earthed one using my body I really wouldn't recommend it....

If you get good spark on each plug search for "Carb draining" and you should get good advice on checking for fuel supply and condition.
