Side Stand - SV650.org

How much does your side stand move when you put the bike onto it? Mine seems to move a lot more than any other bike I've seen but it doesn't look loose or anything.

it might not look loose

have you checked the bolts?

SV stands often splay out a bit at the top, so they can get loose. Mine was like that till I got the GSXR one. Very very rare for them to break though.

I have to admit, I shudder when I see people sitting on their bikes, supported by the sidestand only. I'm sure they weren't designed to support that extra weight. But what do I know?
