Abergavenny bus station yesterday...

Well, as I got bored sitting at home, and even though it was raining... I decided to go out on the bike, even though I said I was going to turn into a fair weather rider! do'h!

Started off at my house, couldnt be arsed with 1000 sheep road in teh rain and at this time of year.. Im not suicidal you know! so went over top of Baverstocks and joined the A470 there... went up past the resevoirs, past storrey arms, and at 12.45 there was all of 1 biker there! ratehr quiet! then got to the A40 an decision time.. Llandovery and a cuppa.. or Abergavenny.. so decided to turn right and head towards abergavenny.. went down the dual carriage way towards the other roundabout to where I caught up with a big group of bikers who were in the left lan, not indicating, so thought they would be taking the A470 to Builth, so I stuck in the right lane to go off at the A40 turn off... well, Im glad Im sceptical about everyone on wheels... cos the buggers even though in the left lane, did a 360 of the roundabout, en mass... i.e. about 10 bikers going round the roundabout in the absolutley wrong lane... to which I thought it would happen they went whizzing past the turn off to the A470, and kept on going round, I started to indicate to come off the roundabout, and still notied a load of bikes to my left, who had now decided to start indicating to their right... so I rolld off the throttle and waited for them all to pass me while shaking my head, and turned off, as they went past that turn off, and round the roundabout again.... serious accident waitng to happen there.. one or two people can be excused, but when an entire group of bikers does that..

anyway, carried along the A40, and decided for a change, so I turned off at Bwlch and headed towards Llangorse... nice little back roads, watch out for the local sheep dog! carried on towards Talgarth, then took THAT road back down to Crickhowel and to the A40... then bimbled along back on original route to Abergavenny... go tot Abergavenny.. had a burger as usual!
and watched probably the most insane thing Ive ever seen in my life...
I could hear what sounded like a bike, but could only see a scooter moving in the parking area.. then I realised why... it had a scorpion exhaust on it.. and not a little one designed for scooters.. but a full on full sized scorpion exhaust on the side! to which I pointed out to some other bikers and we all started laughing, as the exhaust looked like it was worth more than the rest of the scooter!
Fair play though, it gets an originality award!
Then I decided to go home after consuming my burger.. to which point the sun came out as I was now on the A465 heading home..
Alos think the Police were out doing bike safe training, got a few nods of the police men, so I was wondering if I had done something wrong!

After all that you forgot to mention the most important thing...

Did you have chips or jacket spuds?
Was it with salad or frozen peas?
Was there mushrooms or fried onion rings?

I'll have to wait and see....

Got to watch my food intake now Im an office bod... put a bit of weight on now, but just back to what I class as my normal weight when I dont feel ill... but still less than I was when in Uni...

I've seen that scooter at Aber, must be a local.
