"The blows were so strong his skull was fractured and he has brain injuries. Neuro-surgeons say there is little brain activity", no change there then.

Joking aside. What the hell is the purpose of a traffic warden type these days. revenue generation or to ensure the free flow of traffic. If the latter as my local council say, then why could he not have simply gone into the pub and asked for the car to be moved.

At least the traffic warden up at Devils Bridge, makes a point of being seen for 5 minutes before he starts ticketing etc. only the cnuts actually want to issue tickets.

Parking in London Boroughs is a nightmare as each borough has different rules as I found out to my cost last week. 50 quid fine, the warden pounced on my bike within 2 min of me parking in a P&D. I'm sure he was waiting in a bush. I asked him where I could park in his borough and I couldnt understand him - didnt even sound like english to me. If hes gonna give me a ticket he can at least speak to me in the common tounge. I slotted in a gap between two cars just big enough for my bike, parked perpendicular to the pavement, yet i still get a fine as if i was a full sized car

This is usefull and shows all the differences:

Frankly im not surprised it winds people up.

Yes you are most certainly mistaken. This is a severe over-reaction and definately in the realms of utter madness. No-one deserves a thorough beating for doing thier job, no matter how unlikeable the job is. I know this, I'm a health and safety inspector!!

Hope that clears things up.

Think some of the comments on here are bad, you should see some of them being posted on here:

Turns out the warden was attcked by people who WERE NOT even part of the funeral!
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/a...raq/article.do

Its thanks to our local traffic wardens that outide my work, we have 2 designated bike bays-cars get a instant ticket if they park in them!, also if any bikes are parked on the path, they will stick their head inside shop and ask for them to be moved, POLITELY!
Some of our traffic wardens are bikers, and they have been shot/stabbed/run over. NOBODY deserves to get beaten for doing THEIR job!

It would seem a lot of wardens aren't simply doing their job. Rampant bending of the rules at best, downright criminal behaviour at worst.

Not that the violence inflicted is justified of course, but it's certainly not in the slightest bit surprising.

If it wasn't for the repulsive greedy councillers encoraging such mercinary parking enforcement this wouldn't happen in the first place. I think they should be held personally accountable... Which sadly won't happen.
