I have just bought a 2000 SV650s and been out on it tues, wed, thurs. Arrived at the petrol station after my ride last night, filled up, came to start it and nothing. Battery dead. Jump started it off the bloke i bought the bike from and we took it back to his house. Got the meter out and started taking readings. The battery was reading 11.9V and wouldnt start again. Left it pluged in my optimizer over night and its fine tonight.
Is this a common problem with the SV's The battery is onl;y 12 month old and is made by Varta. Is there anything else i can do to stop this from happening again. Please help as i dont wanna get stranded miles from home. Cheers Andy |
