Default Twin exhaust

Hi ive recently bought a set of sv1000 k4 down pipes so i could have twins on my sv650s k2, but wen fitting them up they dont look to fit to easy. Ithink it sum thing to do with the age of the pipes. Ive also seen sum for a 98 TL they look better to fit.
So has anyone tried to fit twins to there sv650s if so was there any mods you had to make or what would be the best way of going about doing it?
Thanks James

They wont fit, the rear pipe come out on the other side so the shock is mounted on the right on a 1000.
It'll only fit if you get your welder out!

The only thing similar about the engines is that they are V-twins that's about it

Welcome to the forum.

Have a read here http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=137 theres plenty of threads relating to twin exhaust setup on a 650...

I think TBH you're going to struggle to get that thou pipework working on your 650, they are very different bikes...

Buying something made to fit has got to be IMHO alot less hassle than trying to make something fit out of the thou pipe work.

I had twins on mine for a while. They were heavy, and too loud, and cost me power, and it meant no matter which side I crashed on I'd wreck a can, so I sold 'em and went back to one. It did look good though, and increased the rate of TL Mistakenness substantially.
