or, I will be by lunchtime.
The final parts arrived in the post this morning (SV1000 rad cap mount and cap) - so it's get them fitted and then have the bike MOT'd and taxed, before setting off to Matlock Bath on it with a bunch of mates. Fitting the SV1000K3 rad to the 650K3 was fairly straightforward, just required a support bracket from the rad to the cyl head, 3 small mounting brackets making up for the fan because it sits on the right not the left like the 1000, and the two wires to the temp sensor needed lengthening. Luckily I had some suitable stainless steel sheet kicking about and made my own brackets. When winter kicks in I'll fit the Gixer K5 race fairing and K4 seat unit, ready for next years track use. Until then I'm going to have some road fun on it. Woo, and may I add, hoo! |
