Default Why hide your Numberplate

Just want to know why people feel the need to blank out Numberplates when taking photos ?

Cant see the point, please enlighten me

But you dont hide it when you are on it or its parked up on the road, people could clone it then

True, but covering it up on the road would be illegal.

And presumably if someone wanted to clone an SV it would be easier to come and look here for a similar looking one than waiting until they saw one on the road.

I understand your point, but if thats the only reason people do it then it is a little bit of a waste of time

How much time does it take to run a photo thru "paint" and scribble over the plate compared to the time it will take you to convince the authoriies that you are not responsible.
