Default New damper fitted

Got myself a Sprint damper and fitting kit. Kit is good, damper looks well and although this is only based on short period of ownership I can say it's the dogs bits.

Adjustable, and as it's mounted off the yoke just above the tank, this can be done while riding. Lowest setting is barely noticable so is useful for town riding and the like when you might not want steering damped, and upper settings are just what the Dr ordered to steady things up. Spot on on the dodgy surface roads.

I know I'm no doubt going to get grief from some people about why bother, it's a girls bike, it's not fast enough, I've never had a tank slapper in riding 5 zillion years etc etc.... But it came at the right price and my point is wouldn't you rather have one and it not be needed than find yourself needing one and not have one fitted? Roads in Yorkshire that I ride on can have crappy surfaces too, this does the job.

Here's a snap of it fitted:

Amen to that brother. Ive had a couple of slappers and yes they scared the crap out of me! Id' rather have it and not need it than the other! Hopefully you will never need it to the full extent though.

Touch wood to date I haven't had a full blown slapper (would probably have been off the bike if I had!), have had a few brown trouser moments though, so thought it wise to get one!

looks good,

lets us know how ya get on with it, i'm gona get one fitted either sprint or hyperpro.

i've had a full slapper, scared the **** out of me and if i hit a bump, or crease in the road at high speed, teh bars shimmy a little, my mate tells me this is normal, however after my 1st slap i think for peace of mid it would be a good idea to fit a damper!
