Hello, I am fairly new to the forum, spent most of my time digging through all the posts, and picking up on many a good point from you all .. Thanks.
I am looking to change the stock exhaust on my K6, for a one that will give me a bit more presence. Trouble is that I seem to find the K6 not mentioned on many of the major suppliers web sites. Initially I though of a Akropovic or Yoshi but have come across the Carbon Can Co, they have one listed for the K6 but it looks quite big, similar in size to the stock unit, but obviously lighter. Would I be correct in thinking a replacement will have the same physical size. Can any of you point me in right direction as to good and bad, taking into account that I only want to replace the end can and not the full system. Would like to hear from you if you have done this to a K6 Thanks in advance … Barry .. leicestershire |

hello Lylej
Thanks for your response. In different posts there seemed to be so many differences between the models that I was not sure, did not hurt to ask the question, i will have a look at the scorpion. I want loud but not OTT just more than the stock item gives. cheers Barry |

Look at remus - alot of their exhausts have a removable baffle. It'll be bloody loud with it out, normal and legal with it in. You could always knock up a baffle to insert and get halfway between ear-bleeding and normal (my dad did this for his gsxr600).
There is also fuel....but as I understand, one SV with one Fuel can sounds like Hell let free. Matt |

Shame you dont want a full road legal system as I have one for sale. £300. It is a micron. You can run it with or without the baffle. (baffle in for leglitly) but it still sounds good.

Thanks Matt
sounds good Spoke with a Akropovic dealer and they said no can do for a K6 so this is the part that concerns me. I know anything can be made to fit, but it needs to look the part. I would have thought the connecting pipe would be standard, just need to get the cut point correct. Barry |
