I've forgot how the speed sensor sits in its position. Just removed wheel for some maintenance and forgot how the thing sits. Its not sitting flush as I've installed it and making squeking noises when i move the bike definately not good. There is a recess in the plastic which I've placed into the fork locator pin. Isn't that right?

Thanks a lot Pete. The second picture is more of what I need to see however the picture did come out a bit dark in the required area. I'm trying to make out where the locator pin is in relation to the sensor. If its too much trouble leave it you've done too much already.

Sadly due to light not getting in there I can't get a pic.
If I remember rightly the speedo drive just "butts" up to the stop lug on the fork bottom. IE: rotates around until it stops. You might be able to see that from the first pic. |

So the stop lug does not sit between those two slots in the speedo drive?

No. You just locate everything. Special care as you only have 2 lugs left on your drive, think there were 4 originally, and slide the axle through. As you screw the axle in, the sensor moves against the lug. If,as I said, I remember correctly.

Pete I think what you're talking about are the lugs inside the drive. Those are mated in ok with the recesses in the wheel no problem. The question is how does the drive sit with the locator pin situated on the fork leg? An other picture with some help from a torch tomorrow maybe?

![]() ![]() ![]() I know exactly what you mean mate. Flumoxed me the 1st time. The lug on the fork does no more than stop the sensor free spinning around. I know it looks like it should slide between the plastic casting but it don't. Not on mine anyway. Look where the sensor cable is on pic 1. ![]() |
